Exploring Scholar has been part of Toronto's academic community for years.

We're a tutoring school that takes teaching seriously.

Who we are

We started with a straightforward idea: students do better when they're taught well. That sounds obvious, but it's surprisingly rare to find a school that's actually built around it.

We're based in North York and serve students from elementary school through the end of high school. Students come to our campus in person, or join online from across Canada, the US, and internationally. Over the years, we've developed a reputation for consistent results and for instructors who genuinely care about the students they work with.

The name reflects how we think about learning. We're not here to drill students on the right answers. We're here to help them figure things out.

How we think about learning.

Focus on method, not memorization

We teach students how to approach a problem. Once they understand the logic behind something, they can handle questions they've never seen before.

Get there first

Students who see new material before school introduces it have time to sit with it, ask questions, and actually understand it. By the time a test comes around, it's not new anymore.

Different students, different approaches

We don't have a single program that everyone goes through. We look at each student and figure out what actually makes sense for them.

Where we teach.

Our North York campus has the setup students need: modern classrooms, up-to-date equipment, and an environment designed for focused work. We've put real thought into the space because it affects how students learn.

What our students have achieved.

Our students have earned top marks on AP and IB exams, placed in international math competitions, and been accepted to universities across North America.

Parent of a Grade 11 student
"My daughter got offers from multiple University of Toronto faculties and a $10,000 entrance scholarship. She was one of the only students in her school to receive a perfect IB predicted score."

"My son got a perfect score on the AMC8. You could see the improvement right away. His ability to work through problems got noticeably stronger in a short amount of time."
